"Hanging himself with his own carelessness"
Jackson's Junction - Video Blogging - We provide (video), you decide!
Fox News Watch tackled the topic of why did CNN executive Eason Jordan resign? Was he "bitten by blogs" or was it something else?
Jim Pinkerton responds: "I read The Gaurdian from Nov. 2004 and he said pretty much the same thing." "This is no right-wing hatchet job. This was the guy hanging himself with his own carelessness."
UPDATE: Eason Jordan was quoted in The Guardian in November 2004 in an article entitled "American Military Still Failing to Protect Journalist." Please read the entire article. Here's a partial quote from Jordan:
"The reality is that atleast 10 journalist have been killed by the U.S. military, and according to reports I believe to be true journalist have been arrested and tortured by U.S. forces."
NOTE: The Gaurdian requires you to register to read articles, so if you have any trouble with the direct link, you'll have to register and search "Eason Jordan" and you will find it.

Pinkerton's response is right on the money.
You can't call Barney Frank and Chris Dodd exceptions to Jordan's remarks a Right Wing Hatchet Job.
You can call them other fun things, but not that.

Oh, absolutely. Pinkerton is fun to listen to. He's got his finger on the pulse of the blogosphere, perhaps more than most journalists out there. One of the few sane people that writes for Newsday.
