MSM's Naked Agenda...the friend of my enemy is my enemy
Check out these two covers from the nations two largest weeklies:
No No you are not seeing double. These are the nation's two biggest weeklies and who are they glorifying? China, yup China.
The worst abuser of human rights, the propmaster and financier of the most heinous muslim government: Sudan. Yes Evil China Secretly FUNDS Massive Slaughter and Slavery in Sudan. China lover to Iran, North Korea, Pakistan.........oh where to begin?
China has played a major role in building the Pakistani, Iranian and North Korean nuclear weapons programs. The Pakistani bomb is used to contain India; the North Korean program is used to contain Japan; and the Iranian nuclear program is used to contain the US.
The Chinese played a major role in Iran's development of the Shihab-3 ballistic missile, which is capable of hitting Israel. And, as Blumenthal notes, the Chinese assisted the Iranian nuclear weapons program by supplying Teheran with a uranium conversion facility and nuclear power reactors.
The Saudis have received Chinese intermediate range ballistic missiles with a range of 3,000 km. After the US vacated its bases in Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2003, Chinese military personnel reportedly quietly moved in.
This is what TIME and Newsweak celebrate. Yes the same Newsweak that Lied about the toilet flushing incident.
They never cover stories on the freedom we are bringing to centuries old oppressed populations. Nothing about the schools, hospitals, roads etc. we are building. Nothing about the geuine heroics of our fine young people serving in Iraq and hotspots worldwide.
No CHINA............Not just one cover, two. Think HARD about this.........Gitmo is a Gulag, French UN peacekeepers notice Mao's jacket, its a French Vuitton and speaking of Mao:
horrific story of the state-sponsored terror,
cannibalism, torture, and murder during Mao Zedong's "Great Leap Forward," an attempt at utopian engineering gone wrong. This is the unforgettable story of the century's greatest human rights disaster, in which more people died than in Stalin's purges and
the Holocaust put together. In the name of communist progress, the peasant population was organized into communes where they were forced to work for the
common good producing steel and other necessities, whose manufacture they misunderstood and hopelessly bungled. Dams, canals and irrigation systems were constructed, but because they were based on faulty plans, and built mostly by ignorant farmers, they collapsed quickly, caused massive crop failure, and precipitated a famine of unimaginable proportions. As the populace began to starve, they deserted their homes and former farms in mad
searches for food, and finally resorted to cannibalism, slavery, and other atrocities that marked this period as the most barbaric in Chinese history. Meanwhile, Mao's followers were too scared to tell the truth. Any officials who dared oppose reforms were ousted, and more vociferous dissenters were tortured, sent to
labor camps, or executed.
HUNGRY GHOSTS - Mao's Secret Famine (Excerpts)
don't even get me started on the cultural revolution, the slaughter of intellectuals, the abolishing of a sophisticated alphabet for a rudimentary version............don't get me started.

well its refreshing to see a chinese face at the top of this entry rather than your over botoxed horse face. Praise LORD!
I am with you on the Conservative Cause though. Just please leave out your personal horse of a face, I wont be able to trust my insticts when I see a Nancy Pelosi look-a-like blogging as a Conservative. It's unchristian. It's unamerican. It reminds me of Chuck Haegel. Even more dishonorable than Dick Durbin; as a republican he had the balls to dishonor our troops and say WE WERE LOSING THE WAR!

Boy, that was probably the least informative comment I've seen on a blog in a long time, outside the DU or Kos fantasy-lands. Ripping into her and discounting what she posts because you don't like her face?
FWIW, what does her appearance have to do with anything? She ain't my cup of tea, but I can at least examine her statements in their context and decide for myself whether what she's posting has any merit.
And in this case, she's hitting the nail on the head. China's "Great Leap Forward" set them back a good 40 years. And it worries me that for all the screaming about how the US gave Saddam his weapons, by far the largest 'contributors' to his army and arsenals were Germany, Russia, France, and... China.
I'd like to think that China's recognized that playing 'nice' with others will get them a lot more in the long run than going to war (for example, over Taiwan) but I'm having doubts about that.
Time will tell. Unfortunately, I don't think what it's going to tell is something we're going to want to see.
