Video: Dean- republicans "have never made an honest living"

Video News Center

"Because a lot of them have never made an honest living in their lives"

Dean21Earlier today, Howard Dean spoke at the Campaign for America's future. Here's what he said:

Dean: "You think people can work all day and then pick up their kids at child care or wherever and get home and still manage to sandwich in an eight-hour vote? Well Republicans, I guess can do that. Because a lot of them have never made an honest living in their lives."

Don't believe me? Watch the VIDEO HERE!

"The republicans are all about suppressing votes"

Dean21_1"The republicans are all about suppressing votes. Two voting machines if you live in a black district, 10 voting machines if you live in a white district."

Hard to believe, I know it! But... Here it is... on video... WATCH IT!

Be sure to leave a comment and let us know what you think!

"Lord knows this administration is beginning to erode the core of our democracy."

Dean21_2O.K. This is my final comment. Please leave the Lords name out of it if you are going to slander the President and/or his administration! Is that asking too much?

You can watch the video HERE!

Dem's don't want you talking about God unless you're slamming the President, I guess.

If you want to follow the story more in depth, I'd recommend visiting the Ankle Biting Pundits! They were all over this one!

You can see Trey Jackson, the video blogger, here.

Playing to the crowd, this man is in dire need of a wall-to-wall conference.

Sessions available, Dean. Drop a line and schedule one.

It won't take 8 hours, I promise.

Is it too soon to ask once again, is Howard Dean Short Enough to be a Despot?

http://theanchoressonline.com/2005/03/04/is-howard-dean-short-enough-to-be-a-despot/

Keep up the good work. Just keep posting their rants and incoherencies. Their own words are their greatest enemy.

JFranck

I also caught a bit of Dean's blathering. He claimed that we were in this war because some people weren't truthful with the American people. I turned the channel, so I didn't find out if he indicated that it was 19 people in 4 planes that were using deception or if he thought someone else was doing the deceiving. I figured I knew which camp he was indicting.

Stark, raving, mad. Unbelievable.

Stark raving stupid is more like it.

What WERE the Democrats thinking when they selected this man?? Oh, I forgot--they weren't.

The more you listen to Howard Dean the more it becomes apparent that there is something wrong with him.

He's mentally ill in some form of other. Not being a mental health professional I cannot say exactly what his problem is, but clearly he has distorted thought processes and a lack of inhibition when it comes to speaking his mind. This is clearly discernable by the amazingly insane things that come dribbling out of his mouth on a regular basis.

Trey- I just happened to flick on CSPAN when I heard Dean say, "Republicans have not made an honest living..." I then continued to listen to his rantings followed by an occasional, "let's be positive". I say we pool our money and come election time we play this on every channel we can non-stop. Dean is Mad! Mad!

Love the way he panders to all the braindead conspiracy freaks in the black base with the usual crap about the voting machines. he conveniently leaves out the fact that for the most part those voting districts are controlled by the Democrats. I guess the Democrats are showing their usual efficiency they demonstrate in local school administration too.

Dean exists to engender this getting-your-goat reaction.

Its fun for the whole family. He gets to say the truth. You guys get to go ape.

Howard, if you weren't already married, and I were a female (or gay) I would marry you. Don't let Republicans offer you "advice" on how you should act. You're not in this for them. You're in this for real Americans.

USMC_Vet — Or as my old first sergeant told me, er, somebody, "I'm gonna smack you 'til you get smarter or my arm gets tired..."

greg, talboito — Long may Howard take your advice.

Howard Dean is an asshole. Everyone knows he is an asshole - that is why his presidential campaign dropped dead, and why he is a loser as a fundraiser for the DNC.

Howard Dean will be the undoing of the Democrats - which is why I am thrilled he is the head of that silly party. May he be elected Chairman of the DNC in perpetuity.

The job of the party chairman is basically to talk trash about the other side. I consider this sort of thing par for the course, get over it.

There are real issues with voting rights in this country, but let's focus on the rhetoric instead, that's much more fun.

I rarely comment, but feel this is an appropriate time to do so.

When you accuse 51% of the country of "never made an honest living in their lives" - that's not rhetoric - that's insulting. If you feel this will enhance your party and/or ideals (do democrats have ideals? I digress) then I suggest you KEEP doing what you are best at (insulting others) and we will keep doing what we are best at: WINNING ELECTIONS.

Dimmy,

"The job of the party chairman is basically to talk trash about the other side. I consider this sort of thing par for the course, get over it."

Haven't been around politics very long, have you? While this little fool does his shtick for the Kos and DU crowd, the other side's chairman is out talking to hispanics, african-americans, and giving an ear generally to blue-state moderate Democrats who are appalled by the party's leftward drift.

Dean's goal is to raise cash from the facial jewelry and cHimPy BUshiTLeR LiED!!! crowd.

Mehlman's goal is to pick off enough southwestern hispanics and OH-PA-FL-MI african-americans so as to ensure yet another Republican victory in '08.

Assuming that the raison d'etre of a political party is to win elections, I'll leave it to you to figure out which strategy makes more sense.

Actually, Howlin Howie might be right, many of us Republicans have to work harder so the democrats can sit at home and collect their government cheese. (that's welfare for you donks)

As far as the psychoanalasis goes I'd say he's projecting. He blames the Republicans for what he and his party are doing.

As far as voting issues, of course their are issues for dems, you keep losing, you guys just can't accept the fact that the American people continue to reject your extremist left wing agenda at the ballot box so you have to come up with this laughable conspirisy theory.

I think Dean is a Rove plant. How else can you explain that Republicans have out fundraised the donks by a 3-1 margin in the first quarter of '05? They got 20,000 new donors and we got over 60,000 new donors. Since we know that small contributions go overwhelmingly to Republicans Howie sure has pissed off a lot of the average Joes around the country.

So, are the GOP or conservatives going to come up with a 2006 strategy broader than "Howard Dean says mean things?" Because ya'll bitch about him constantly.

Oh, and thibaud, you may want to scale back your theory.

Calling Congressman Mike Fitzpatrick a "DeLay Disciple" and decrying the Republican Party's move to the right, former Republican Bucks County commissioner Andy Warren on Wednesday announced he has become a Democrat and is not ruling out a run for office.

Warren, the longest-serving commissioner in county history and now head of the regional state transportation office, said he switched his party registration over the weekend.

The change comes, Warren said, after years of watching the national Republican Party move further and further to the right.

But we needn't worry about this, because Howard Dean says mean things.

Gary - I'm a Democrat. Howard Dean is a clown. He appalls me. The only possible justification for naming him - as opposed to an intelligent, seasoned, rational moderate like Martin Frost - as chairman was the expectation that Dean could raise many millions from previously apathetic or hostile small contributors like the wackos who post on Kos and DU.

That the party's elders would esteem Kos and his ilk as more important than the ~2 million Gore Democrats who in 2004 crossed over to vote for Bush is very strange, and very sad.

O.K. Donk.. Let me simplify this for you:

People DO NOT vote for parties that INSULT them. That's not a 'strategy'. It's people saying "You're mean, and you DON'T get my vote.

Got it? Here it is on your grade level:

insult = mean = no vote. Simple, huh? A lot better than 'let me insult you all day and raise your taxes'.

http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2005-05-19-parties-outreach_x.htm

Mehlman, chairman of the Republican National Committee, is courting black and Hispanic voters on a regular basis. Beyond the usual run of speeches, fundraisers and meetings with donors, he has visited Latino neighborhoods and historically black campuses. He has attended black-oriented receptions and ceremonies, spoken to minority chambers of commerce and raised money for Otto Banks of Harrisburg, Pa., a black city council candidate new to the GOP.

Dean, who reaches Day 100 as Democratic National Committee chairman Monday, is for the most part speaking to diehard Democrats who are the backbone of their party.... He's spoken to labor unions, gay-rights groups and state party chairs — all pillars of the party.

Some Democrats are frustrated by the contrast between the two approaches.... "Democrats should be stirring things up, roiling the waters on (the GOP) side the way Mehlman is on ours. He's playing in our sandbox," says Steve Rosenthal, CEO of America Coming Together, a group formed to energize and turn out Democratic voters.

Will Marshall, president of the centrist Progressive Policy Institute, agrees that Democrats need to "go raiding behind Republican lines."... Rosenthal, Marshall and others say Democrats — led by Dean — should be reaching out to groups and areas where Republicans have done well: military families, Catholics, evangelical Christians, business leaders, people who live in the "exurbs" beyond even outer suburbs, and people who live in small, "micropolitan" cities....

Though Republicans still win only a fraction of the black vote, the trend is up: President Bush gained last year among blacks, rising from 8% to 11%. More worrisome for Democrats as they look at future swing states, Bush went from 9% to 16% among black voters in Ohio — the state that gave him the presidency with a 2-percentage-point win. Among Hispanics, the fastest growing part of the electorate and once reliably Democratic, Bush went from 35% to more than 40% nationally....

Simon Rosenberg, president of the centrist New Democrat Network, says his group spent $6 million in nine states last year to reach Hispanic voters, but "winning with Hispanics is a much higher priority" for Republicans. "They're doing the math," he says.

Howard Dean SUX. Democrats are STUPID. Rush Limbaugh RULES. George Bush is the second coming. Yeah!! This is the level of your wingnut analysis. Hmm, I remember when Clinton was Prez, and you guys dragged us through a year-long taxpayer-funded nightmare all because you couldn't stand the fact that Billy-boy got a blow-job --oh the humanity. . . . . I think that was a little more insulting than anything Howard Dean has ever said.
